There's a First for Everything

On Saturday I learned how to ski. Brittany and Spencer got some free tickets to Park City Resort so we decided to go up for a few hours in the afternoon. The length of time was perfect for me since I was just beginning. I can snowboard but this was an all time first for down hill skiing. I must say that I liked it better the first time for skiing rather than snowboarding because you definitely don't fall as much. I also felt way more in control on skis than my snowboard. Tyson was thrilled since he always goes snowboarding with me and he rarely gets to go skiing. We had a blast and I am excited to go again!

The crew. Thanks Brit and Spence for taking us!

Me on the slopes. Tyson and Spencer promised that there was no bunny hill at the resort. I later found out there was! It would have been much easier for me to practice there instead of on some blue square run...

Tyson was a great teacher. I only threw my poles at him once. ;) Just kidding...

Brittany and Spencer

p.s. Thanks so much Brittany for helping me and being patient even when I made some funny falls! :)

I'm so proud of you! I've never been downhill skiing even though I was born and raised in Utah. A few times guys asked me to go in high school but I was too insecure to take the chance. And now I'm braver but have never been willing to fork out the money. So you're my inspiration. . . maybe someday I'll learn.

Yeah! I am so amazed I have a really hard time trying new things, I don't really like being a beginner!

I can't wait to see you on the mountain!
