So pretty much we just went on the funnest vacation with the two of us so far! Tyson had never seen San Francisco or the wonderful Pacific Coast Highway so we decided to take off and go on a little vacation, just the two of us. We flew directly to S.F. on a Tuesday night, stayed with a high school friend of mine, and then continued to stay in S.F. in a hotel for two more nights. We took a tour of Alcatraz, ate at yummy restaurants (including Ghiradelli's), saw Lombard Street, walked and walked, went on the Trolleys, walked along Fisherman's Wharf, had dinner on the water, biked 18 miles across the Golden Gate Bridge to a little town called Saulsilito (sp.?) and back, and did some great shopping. After S.F. we rented a car and drove down the PCH to Carmel where we had dinner with Tyson's cousin Brady and his cute wife Brittany, layed out on the beach, did the 17 mile drive through pebble beach, and walked around the cute little Carmel "City by the Sea." After a one night stay we got back into our car and drove down the PCH to stay in Santa Barbara. The drive was BEAUTIFUL!! We got awesome pictures and I was in heaven the entire way down. We stayed the night in Santa Barbara where we spent the next day at the beach. Finally we ended our vacation at my mom's house for more fun. We returned the rental car and then spent the next week with my mom (pictures and details to come soon).
Needless to say our vacation was awesome and we had way too much fun together. We had so many pictures to choose from, but we thought we'd put a few in a little slide show for those of you who enjoy looking at them. This was our first major vacation where we weren't visiting family or going on a little weekend get together with friends. It was OUR vacation and we will remember it always!

hey you guys - that looks like so much fun! my whole dad's side is from northern california and we love it there (but haven't been for a couple years) i think you've convinced us to take a trip. hope all is well with you guys!
Awww...I'm so glad that you guys had the vacation of a life time:) Brings back so many memories looking at your slideshow! Good ol BART, Sausolito (LOVE IT THERE--so romantic), and Carmel--didn't you love the million dollar cottages on the coast?! FUN FUN FUN!~can't wait to hear more about it!

Julie this looks and sounds AMAZING! I absolutely love all those places and next time I'm going to have to try that bike ride across the bridge. What a fun idea! So happy you did this together!

Oh, I am having pre-baby envy right now! That is SO a trip that Tyler and I would have loved to do just the two of us, and we still can with Cole but it wouldn't be the same. I absolutely love Santa Barbara, if I ever get rich I will go there often. I'm so glad you guys are doing trips like this! You'll remember them forever.
