Last week was my Elementary School's spring break and it was well needed. Since last year we only had one day for spring break, it was nice to have a whole week this year. Me and my students were ready for a relaxing break. So what do I do every time I have a break from school? Well, of course, I go to California! I left on April 3rd and stayed through last Thursday. It was so nice to see my family. Unfortunately I couldn't see my dad because he was out of town but I was able to see some of my aunts, uncles and cousins too. I spent the weekend down in San Diego with my mom, sister and fam, aunts, uncles and cousins. I met my new cousin Brayden! He is SO cute! We all went to the Wild Animal Park and spent some time shopping in Old Town. The weather was unbelievable! Then we drove back up to my mom's house where I spent the remainder of my trip. There we spent our time watching Conference (which was awesome), going to the pool, going shopping, going to movies, going out to eat, and just hanging out and relaxing. My sister came up from San Diego with her two boys and enjoyed a few runs and such. She is training for a Triathalon and I am training for a 10K so it was perfect to run together. It was also fun to see my little bro, Matt. I got to go to lunch with a good friend of mine and catch up and play at the park a few times with Jadon and Zach. All in all, it was a great trip. And thank you once again to my wonderful mom for flying me out there and for everything you do! I love you!
So then I flew back Thursday night and early Friday morning Tyson and I drove up to Island Park to spend the weekend at our cabin. Talk about weather change! I went from sunny , 80 degree weather, to snowy, 40-50 degree weather! But it was fun making snow forts outside with our nieces and nephews and just lounging inside the cabin. It was good to be with Tyson again, since he couldn't go with me to California because of his school schedule. :( Easter was great too. It was so fun to watch all of our nieces and nephews find their Easter baskets.
Well, now it's back to school and work. We only have 8 weeks until the end of the school year! It's crazy how time flies! And only 3 weeks until I'm done with my master's program. Yay!! I hope you all had a fantastic Easter weekend!!

Jealous! I would've loved the Cali weather, and that cabin up there is too fun. You two are so cute :)
