Liquid Joe's

So the other night Tyson and I and some friends went to Liquid Joe's to watch some friends play some music and sing. Yes, it is a bar but it has a really cool atmosphere that is perfect for small mini-concerts. I haven't been to any type of musical thing since Christmas and I really do love to listen to different artists and bands. I guess I owe it to my upbringing. My dad would always take us to different cultural events, many of them being musical programs or concerts. At Liquid Joe's we were able to see my good friend Erin perform. She has an awesome indie-feel to her music. She plays the acoustic guitar and her voice is amazing. She did an amazing job too! After she performed a local band called the Fictionist played too. They have a really cool sound to their music. Kind of like U2 meets Coldplay meets The Fray. I need to get more info on them and post it.
Erin performing... (not the best picture unfortunately)

The 4 of us...There were actually a lot of people from our ward too. It made the night even more fun!

So this got me thinking about the many other concerts I've been to and I've been to some crazy ones...I would have to say that there are two concerts I am kind of embarrassed about going to but I have to still admit they were really fun. They are Justin Timberlake and Cristina Aguilara combined and then Jessica Simpson. Haha! I have to laugh about it now!

So now I ask, what are some of the concerts you have been to? Embarrassing or not?

Looks like a fun night! I'm proud to say that my brother and I went to see Britney Spears at the Delta Center for my 16th birthday. It was amazing. You guys are full of fun activities!

I love going to concerts! Sounds like that's a great place to catch a small one. This is a dangerous question to ask me...

I've been to lots - Coldplay, U2 (front row), REO Speedwagon, Stix, Aerosmith, Brittney Spears (seriously!) and NSYNC (not kidding!), Ben Folds, Ben Kweller, Yellowcard, Smashmouth (horrible), 3rd Eye Blind (just as bad as smashmouth - it was free), Moby, Journey (twice), Heart, John Mayer, The Fray, Maroon5, Barenaked Ladies, Jurassic 5, Jack's Mannequin...the list goes on.

There are still some I haven't been to that I'd like to see - Death Cab, Ben Folds (want to go again!), Dashboard, The Killers, Carla Bruni, The Weepies, Dido, Jimmy Eat World...

One night while listening to sports radio last year, Adam won free tickets to Billy Joel. It was so cool! I love live entertainment but that was my only big concert of that type.

I almost saw Martina McBride on the 4th of July at BYU, but I broke up with my boyfriend the week before. He offered to take me anyway and I said no. How stubborn and stupid! I still regret it!

The funnest concert I have ever been to would definitely be Counting Crows out at Saltair. I had so much fun get squished against the barrier until I thought by guts were going to come out my mouth. The lead singer Adam came out and started the first song but then stopped and said "Hey, everyone back up these people are dieing up here. Its colorful but its @%$&*! up." The rest of the concert was a blast.

Hey guys. Hope all is well! Let me know how the med school thing shakes out.

Graduate from BYU Law this month. Can't believe it.

Was wondering if you could get in contact with Missy Johnson (Dave's little sister)--she's been having lots of migraines lately...

Check out her blog here, http://madrasrevolution.blogspot.com/, or try facebook.

House of Blues saw Ozma and Something Corporate and the infamous Julie from Real World came up and asked me who was playing. Lucky me I didn't recognize her until some friends told me who she was. Weezer was awesome--better in person than on CD--and Tenacious D (Jack Black) and Jimmy Eat World opened for them. That was pretty sweet cuz I was with Eddie. I've also seen Ringo Starr and the All Star Band. Now those were some classic rock legends! And the craziest concert--Greg's screamo band--hahaha!!!
