Lake Pleasant and the Oregon Coast

We have had some major fun these past few weeks. But before the fun began, Owen got his very first pair of Nike's thanks to daddy. He thought they were the coolest thing ever.

We were able to finally get out to Lake Pleasant just 30 minutes from our place. It was hot but nice to be in the 80 degree lake water, to fish, throw rocks, and to play with friends.

Owen had so much fun playing with Jenny and fishing too!
The guys found this log and decided it would be fun to use it as some sort of a "boat" to float back on. Silly boys
 Just hanging out!

After being home for about 2 weeks from Utah, we ventured north to Lincoln City, Oregon for my family reunion. I think I might just want to move to Portland. It is so lush and green and clean and beautiful. If only it didn't rain so much.
We did a gorgeous 6 mile hike through the "forest" which came out onto a cliff overlooking the ocean. Amazing is all I have to say.
The "older" boy cousins minus my brother Matt.
Ariane, my bro's sweet gf and me on the hike.
Throughout the hike there were these cute bridges. Can't you see how beautiful it is!?
 The view from the top.

We visited the Tillamook Cheese Factory in Tillamook, Oregon.
We got to see how the cheese is made.
 Owen was very fascinated. :)
We got some yummy ice cream there!

We went to the beach almost every day. It definitely wasn't laying out weather, but it was still gorgeous and sunny. Of course Owen loved it!
We were able to stay in one of those beach houses! So pretty!
 My beautiful mom and grandma
Apparently Lincoln City is one of the best places to fly a kite in the world! Who knew!?
My little cousin Audrey loved it!
Another day at the beach and in the sand!
It wouldn't be a party without Just Dance! Jadon and Audrey rocked it!
Cousin Jadon brought Owen an apron to wear when he plays with his new kitchen. So cute!
 Our family :)

This side of the family LOVES to play games; especially card games. We played every night and I loved it.
Owen didn't want to leave gamma!
Cute brothers. Owen's cousins Jadon and Zach (My sister's kids)
We had quite the traveling experience going to and especially from Portland. We were fortunate enough to get buddy passes but of course when flying stand by there comes a price. The day we flew out to Portland our trip began at 4am and ended at 4pm. Owen was seriously a champ. We had a 3 and a half layover in SLC before arriving in Portland, only to hop in the car to drive another 2 hours to the beach. Then on our way home Owen and I barely got on our flight to SLC but Tyson didn't until that evening. Luckily we stayed at my in-laws instead of the airport. We went back to the airport to see if we could get on a 9:55pm flight and to meet Tyson finally, but we were quickly told that we didn't stand a chance of getting on. In fact, she said we wouldn't get on any flights the next day either, so she listed us for a flight on Tuesday. We were blessed to be with family instead of in some random city, but man were we glad to finally make it home Tuesday afternoon.

Owen loves watching the airplanes.
Home sweet home! We are excited to party and play for the last few weeks of summer vacation!

Zac was looking at the pics of Owen and sniffled then said he missed "Owee" and wanted to go to his house to see him. It was adorable. So good to see you guys! I will let you know about coming to see you in September :)

I'm so sorry this pregnancy has been as hard for you. You deserve an award! I loved seeing the pics of Oregon, our second home. We were there the same time you were, just about 100 miles south of you! So beautiful. Hang in there, I'm hoping you feel better soon! Oh, and I can't believe how dark Owen's hair is getting! Such a good looking guy.
