Playing Catch Up

Of course I am playing catch up again! But I just have to document everything for our little journal here. :) A few weeks ago Tyson finished his first year of Medical School and we all couldn't be happier or prouder. He did AWESOME his first year and worked his buns off (literally, I'll get to that later). But at the same time he managed to keep his priorities in line and remained the best husband and dad anyone could ask for....seriously. But I am just glad we are on to the next year while leaving an amazing first year behind. We have truly loved it here and can't wait to spend another wonderful year with such great friends who have really been more like family to us; and we are so so grateful for that.

While Tyson was taking his finals and studying around the clock, I decided to skidadle and headed to my California with the boy. We had a lot of fun being really lazy. :) We went to the park about 3 times a day since it's right next to my mom's house, went to the animal farm with my brother and his sweet girlfriend, and spent some quality time with "gamma" and "mmmma" (Uncle Matt) and Papa Dale. Once Tyson got there and my sister's family came up from San Diego, we had even more fun just chillin with each other, watching all of the boys run wild, celebrating Tyson's first year and going to my dad's house. Oh ya and we had a sweet visit to the ER because our insurance wasn't accepted elsewhere, leaving us to wait 7 HOURS to be seen. It was a great way to spend our Sunday. :) After 48 hours of a 103/104 fever, Owen ended up having bronchitis and guess what, another ear infection. But he is all smiles now, thank goodness.

The week Tyson was there we watched movies, played with my mom's new iphone (she's getting real technical on us now), went to the park again, ate out a lot, and of course had to go to the beach. I miss the beach so so much!!! We stayed a total of 2 weeks and it was so wonderful to have some mommy dates and to spend time with my family. My mom is seriously the best. She cooks for us, cleans for us, spoils us, and loves us. She is the best mom I could ask for and I miss her already.

Owen sure loves his "gamma" SO MUCH. He gives her kisses and cuddles with her all the time. It is adorable. He still walks around pointing to her picture and saying "gamma gamma gamma" over and over again.

 We had to get a family picture. We sure love having Tyson around all the time now!

 I love these boys. Don't mind Greg and I...we just woke up and I just jumped out of the shower to drive home. They are the best Uncles and brothers ever.

We can't wait to go back!! I love you California....for so many reasons!
