California

While Tyson studied for his board exam, the boys and I headed down to California for a few weeks to spend some much needed time with my family. We stayed with my mom and Dale and were able to see my brother Matt and his cute wife Haley, my sister's family when we went down for her graduation and my dad, his wife and three cute kids. I also got to meet up with 3 of my closest high school girlfriends for some lunch and much needed catch up and girl time.

I'm not going to lie, having the two boys all by myself with out Tyson was difficult. While my mom was a HUGE help, especially when she got home from work, it was hard because Owen was not a happy camper for the first few days, maybe even week, we were there. He missed his daddy, and only wanted mommy to help him...even when he needed his shoes put on. And I think I was just super tired, feeling stretched thin after what these last few months have brought us. Thankfully we had my mom who took care of us by making us dinner every night, taking Graham for me when I needed her to (well she didn't need a reason to snuggle him actually!), doing my laundry and folding it, and providing me with much needed girl talk after the boys were in bed. I am so grateful for her. I am also so so grateful for my brother and sister-in-law. They were like my husband in San Diego as we shared a hotel room. They got to see some pretty sweet tantrums from Owen and helped me along the way without making me feel judged. I truly love those two. :)

Being around my family gave me a wonderful "pick me up" and made me feel so loved and appreciated. I never feel like I have enough time with them and I already miss them.

Graham loved to be tickled by grandma!!

I think we must have gone to the park next door to my mom's house every single morning. We were soaking up the nice weather and the fact that we actually got to play OUTSIDE was such a nice change to our 115 degree weather at home.

My half sister Isabella (on the right) celebrated her birthday with a fun birthday party at my dad's house. We went and Owen had a blast with both my half sisters (Sara and Isabella pictured below) riding his tricycle around and around.

Oh my did Graham LOVE LOVE LOVE his grandma! He snuggled her all the time and often times I would find him like this, just so content laying on her lap. I think they were both pretty smitten with eachother.
